Many municipalities do require a permit; this permit enables the authorities verify an alarm signal is warranted, in turn enabling them to respond quicker in the event of an emergency. Alarm permit registration is typically filed annually with your local municipality and will have a mandatory registration fee of between $10 and $100, depending on where you live. No, Nighthawk Security does not charge for false alarms. In fact, we recommend to our customers that they contact us in the event of any false alarm so we can assist them in preventing false alarms in the future. Please check with your local government on ordinances.
